COVID-19 Season Start-up Reminders

With the Throop Little League season starting here are some reminders during these times in dealing with Covid:
  1. All spectators must wear masks.
  2. All players must have masks for when they are in the dugout and coming to and exiting the field.
  3. All players must have their own hand sanitizer and sanitize immediately upon arrival at the playing field.
  4. Maximum of 3 players in the dug out.
  5. All players must have their own chairs for in between innings which should be set up in a the designated family section outside the fence.
  6. No parents are permitted in or around the dug out area during the game. Children should be given drinks before the game.
  7. All players parents must complete the Throop Little League safety survey between 2-4 hours prior to each and every practice. This survey is found under the child’s team name at
  8. Each parent is responsible to check your child’s temperature a second time immediately before coming to the field.
  9. Any parent, coach, player, or spectator experiencing any Covid like symptom within the last 72 hours must stay home.
  10. Any player with fever of 100.4 or above within the last 72 hours must stay home.
  11. Any player, coach, or parent who recently traveled to any state outside of PA designated a Covid-19 “hot spot” by Pennsylvania Department of Health must not attend any Little League functions for a period of 14 days upon return to Pennsylvania.
  12. All players and coaches will have their temperatures checked upon arrival by a Manager, Coach, or Throop Little League Official before each game and practice utilizing an touch-less forehead thermometer and will players, managers, and coaches will not be permitted to participate is the temperature is 100.4 or above.
  13. Any child that is ill during a game or practice must be removed from the facility and taken home by a parent or legal guardian without any delay.
  14. Social distancing MUST be followed and designated areas between fence posts will be set up for families at the home field.
  15. There is no passing of the hat.
  16. Players using the bathroom facility must immediately sanitize hands afterwards.
  17. Players should bring water bottles properly labeled with the childs name on each bottle.
  18. No gum, no food, and no sunflower seeds are permitted.
  19. No spitting is permitted on the field.
